Just loved it. Sanjip delivers a delicately balanced plate for every one of his meals, it's a new local for me and my biggest issue is that we eat the beautiful food so quickly that we forget to take photos to share. So far weve been twice, sorry for the empty playe shots below....Do yourself a favour and go there, quickly, before everyone gets onto it. Licensed with a well rounded wine list and not overpriced.
Toom away Bhindi-Okra curry from the place. It had more potato than Okra. Texture was good but the potatoes were not cooked properly. How hard it could’ve been to poke a potato and see if it’s cooked or not
The food at this restaurant is simply delicious! Previously, Indian food always seemed to have a same taste to me, but this place has completely changed my mind. We have tried a few dishes from the lamb, chicken, and vegetarian curries sections, and they were all amazing. The flavours were complex and well-balanced, and the spices were perfectly cooked.
I was also impressed with the new management. They are clearly passionate about Indian food and Sanjiv, the owner, took the time to talk to us and ask for our feedback. It was clear that he cares about his customers and wants to provide them with the best possible dining experience.
I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian food. It is a hidden gem!
Some positive comments were posted on st Ives community pages so we decided to try. The entrees were delicious but the mains were very disappointing with very little spice or flavour. The beef was tough and dry and the chicken dish had little flavour. I don’t care about the money but when the menu clearly states a discount if 10% for takeaway and it is not applied, that is just bad management.
Such a shame. We were regulars when Paul and peace ran the place
Will not be patronizing again.
I accidentally stepped into this place. It was fairly empty. The restaurant has table cloth (good as per my standards). The goan dishes were good. I have not tasted the flavours of Goa before but the taste was certainly different from what I normally taste. I will go back with family
We were there for the first time celebrating with a friend and ordered their New Zealand fried Silver bait with chutney. Simply finger licking tasty! Then we went for a selection of Indian breads with Goan fish curry this place has on their menu. Great food, pleasant ambience and e celebrate service. All in all it was a wonderful evening.
We have been to this restaurant twice now. The food is quite superb. We tried, once again, the butter chicken which is quite unlike other such dishes elsewhere. Full of spices, and sweetly balanced this is how butter chicken should be - not overly spicy but rich and subtle. The beef temberara and beef biryani were also excellent. Even the complimentary papadums with mint sauce were refreshing and light. Seriously this restaurant is first class, from the food, the friendly young wait staff and the convivial atmosphere. An amazing find in suburban St. Ives.
Amazing! Sublime food, perfectly seasoned and cooked perfectly! Friendly staff, great atmosphere, food came quick. Great for my area as a lack of great Indian food. Authentic and delicious. 10/10. My favourites were the beef de goa and the lamb chops
